this would be my 2 cent for a short intro (you didnt specify how long it
should be - if it should be longer then maybe put in: wicket cares for URLs,
AJAX is quite easy and can be achived without a single line of JS written by
yourself, very modular -> wicketstuff + wicketextension provide already a
nice base to start with)
