I am sorry but I have no time for it. DatePicker is merely deprecated - and if someone has a patch for the current problem I'd be happy to apply it. Calendar is crude and not yet very easy to extend. And the DatePicker functionality has to be build on top of it. I created YUI Calendar this weekend to hopefully give a head start for people that want to contribute. I don't know when I have time to finish it myself.
