Wicket caches the markup loaded. Hence you'll see it loaded only once. However in development mode ModificationWatcher receives a request to check regularly if the file (IResourceStream) has been changed (modify date). If yes, the cache is cleared and all markup files are reloaded on request.

However I see that this method is called only once. Is this true?
