Hello, Here <https://osf.io/6e9as/files/hwnaj> please find the data about which countries the authors on the papers are from, more interesting than I would have guessed. Note that the numbers for the countries are higher than for funder mentions because it is a count for each author on the paper, not how many times the funder is mentioned.
We did look at Scholia and WikiData, but Open Alex had the largest set of papers. We are putting the info into WikiData now. The main focus of the study was who funds WikiResearch, not about what research ends up in Wikidata. It is a good question though.
