--- Comment #140 from Philippe Verdy <verd...@wanadoo.fr> 2009-11-19 15:59:48 UTC --- #138: I fully agree. Using stored collation keys will remove the dependency with the database support, and will also avoid the problem of downtime when upgrading the collations and recomputing the categorylinks SQL index to migrate the collation keys... I still defned the concept of multiple collations in parallel, if only just for supporting the migration of collation rules. In addition it will offer users preferences for their preferred collation order, and will also allow to view the same category using different orders, without additional processing (as long as the category page itself, or the site-wide default collations, specify the collations as supported by default) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
