Ariel says this issue may be related to multicast issues having to do
with our routers which are up for replacment. From IRC:

rebooted those

<apergos> anyways new ones are on order, they are simply old

<apergos> they have to be custom built I guess, they are junipers
<apergos> we talked about it in the ops meeting
<apergos> he didn't know there was another round of issues
<apergos> and I had forgotten about the routers
