The plan is to just disable editing if there is an override, there is no sane way to edit the contents of a parserfunction.

Again with MCR (so a little down the line) there would be no reason the description couldn't be moved to it's own content blob, and editing would then be pretty trivial.

The location of the override on the wiki could be anything, it could be a subpage of the article with some fancy code? It could be a magic word on the page, in the world of MCR it could also be its own content.
