WikiEducator has been hosted on Amazon EC2 since February, 2010.
(Before that it was on its own server in a German data center.  It
started life on a desktop box under someone's desk.)

WE is not a part of The Wikimedia Foundation, but an independent
project backed by the OER Foundation and with its own community
governance council.

Their data centers are quite large compared to our current needs... so
they look almost cloudlike from where I'm sitting.  :-)
