Also working around this template does not solve anything, as the cause of the problem is elsewhere. The error was in the upload campaign itself and someone fixed it there. On the images uploaded this September I just fixed it with my bot. Not the contest category should have been added manually, but the contest template. I dont know why Jarekt has created the /dates template? It seems to be a 2015 attempt to arrive at a different structure, and to the best of my knowledge isn't used anywhere. I would suggest to delete it to avoid confusions like this one. finally, much appreciate the changes made afterwards, but i would recommend to use the same system that the templates use, which is to include the template {{Wiki Loves Monuments 2021|mt}} rather than the category by itself. That maintains consistency.
