Dear Tito, Pavan and A2K Team, Happy to find that the community has started initiating their bids and maybe by the day's end there could be some more. Irrespective of whichever community gets to host the event, the entire process of promoting community-led initiatives needs to applauded. There is no shadow of the doubt that this would promote off-wiki leadership within different communities.
A2K Team could also perhaps initiate 1.) Taking help of some senior and experienced community members in the jury process to make it more transparent and neutral. 2.) Inviting external resource persons via Call for Papers where the community members can submit an abstract for their presentations and the participants along with the larger community can reflect. Similarly, the A2K team members could also put up a brief for their sessions and the community can reflect, advise and suggest for the needful. Again, I would like to re-iterate, this is a wonderful initiate undertaken. My two cents.
