Hello everyone,
This email is a follow-up from a presentation given at our AGM by
Neville Hobson and Philip Sheldrake on Wikipedia and the PR industry. As
you probably know, Steve Virgin has been working behind the scenes to
improve how PRs work with Wikipedia. One of the outcomes is a set of
draft best practice guidelines for PR professionals on how to work with
Wikipedia.
These have been uploaded to the UK wiki for comment from Wikimedians and
the PR industry. It's hoped that through using the wiki to discuss the
guidelines, make changes and have general dialogue, a version will be
ready by mid-June or so which will reflect everyone's viewpoints. Take a
