Yes I agree.  I have experienced very few problems with Novell 
Netware.  The client server model has a number of distinct 
advantages.

It provides very good performance on relatively low end hardware, 
running on kit that windows will struggle with!  A lot of POS systems 
use Novell as well.

Yes this is becoming a problem in the "Small Business" environment, 
particularly from a resource point of view.  Continual maintenance 
fees are a big drain.  But developers only have themselves to blame !  
It isn't the money pit that they think it is !!
