The die hard fans will go because you just can't duplicate the experience on a home theatre.

You haven't been to the old theater in Bristol or Ashland then have you? ;-) I went to the premiere of the 2nd trilogy of Star Wars at a midnight showing in our local theater & it stunk, the theater not the movie but the movie was terrible because it wasn't shown in DD5.1. Even back then my own little make shift home theater was better than what they had & I could get up & get pop corn without missing a thing.

That's BS. This movie (like so many movies) earn out many times over and there is no reason, besides greed, to raise ticket prices to cover pirates.

I agree that $50 for a family of 4 to go see a flick is ridiculous plus having to put up with long lines to get into the theater. Even when I had the money I wouldn't go & the only reason I went to the SW thing a few years ago was to be in on the hoopla but I had to sit next to a gal that needed 2 seats & a gay guy on the other side of me so between the 2 I couldn't watch much of the movie then there are the kids down front screaming about stupid stuff. I've not been back to a theater since. I did a theater drive by when Spiderman came out & only shook my head.
