A basic line splitter will work fine, just make sure you have a filter on
the side you plug the phone into.

Subject: Hardware: Connect DSL Modem & Telephone to Same Wall Outlet?

Greetings...

Is it possible to connect both a DSL modem and a telephone to the same
telephone
wall outlet? If so, then will an inexpensive duplex-splitter work or should
I look
for a separate box (from Radio Shack) to wire into the present box to create
two
side-by-side boxes with one for the DSL modem and one for the telephone?

cheers, Stephen
