This message below is confusing because he quoted from one message two
different posters but it could have looked as if he only quoted the
paragraph with the indents (>) and wrote all of the next two paragraphs,
when I know from just reading the previous message that this is not so. I
think this is worse than having the entire sixteen messages appending to the
top and then a one line answer at the bottom, if it was at the top at least
you do not have to wade thru it all.

And I'm the same way but on the other side: if someone posts something that
starts with a sentence that makes no sense at all and there's no obvious
context within the first few lines, instead of clicking SCROLL to try to
figure out WTH they're talking about, I delete the message.  Nothing like
reading "I agree" and having to guess what they agree with, or getting a
message that starts with a URL and having to guess what the URL is about...

Too many people believe that because THEY can remember what threads are
about, their correspondents may have read hundreds of messages on scores of
different topics before their reply/followup arrives and might well
appreciate some help on figuring out what the topic at hand is....
