Virtual PC can be a little hard to "grasp"... In VirtualPC,
you set up a Virtual Hard Drive file and use "that" as the hard drive.
You have to assign the size and format ONLY that "virtual drive"
to any filesystem you want, JUST LIKE it was a real hard drive
or real partition.
You do all of this after you make all the other "settings" in VPC
and boot (start) the Virtual Machine. After it "first boots", you treat it just
like it is a real system as far as what you need to do, setup and/or install...

Remember that drivers and lots of hardware support will be missing
and will never work (or be supported...)

I have done WinME in a Virtual Machine and it works fine...

I am trying to setup Virtual PC 2004 on my system and have run into a
problem. I tried to install Win ME, but it errors out because I am using
exclusively NTFS. Win ME installation wants a FAT partition. Am I missing
something or do I need to place the Virtual PC drive on a FAT partition?
This seems to defeat the purpose of the program. I can find no mention of
this requirement in the help files. Advice is most welcome.
