When you need replacement MEDIA, I believe the only legal place to get it
is from MS.
(Or a channel distribution partner...)
I have purchased some... What you want, they may not make... Not their
problem...
AFAIK a channel distribution partner can't even make Windows CDs. The only
reason Dell, HP & etc can is because they have a negotiated price for
licenses with the understanding that they shall be making their own
installation CDs. It is understood that all OEMs can create their own
masters, however these masters are not for distribution & not even to
other OEMs.
For your own purposes, I think slipstreaming is "OK". Either MS accepts
it, or can't
"catch you"... Anything else and you are on very shaky legal ground...
Agreed. MSFT understands that the technically challenged are not going to
slipstream cds. They wouldn't have included the /integrate switch into Sp2
if they really cared just as long as the geeks do not distribute them.
