I'd pick up a router (almost free after rebates), and a couple of Cat 5
cables from the net. I would think we're talking PCs that already have NICs.

I don't like running one PC thru another; then ya gotta run both for the
step-child to connect. Heck, I bet you could put a wireless card in them and
mooch off a neighbor. ;^)

yep, thats what I meant, I use it here with an ME machine connected via 
my XP ICS, setup was flawless using the network wizard. Another option 
for simple access without ICS is to run analogx's "Proxy", setup of that 
is even easier. Keeps the cost down to a short CAT5 lead :)
