Why is a complete format and a clean install FAR more complex?
I thought it was the preferred way to get a really clean start.

Many runs of a restoration program produce a computer that is the same as it was when new. All drivers are in place and nothing is updated. It is an automated process, requiring little if any skills.

A good clean install requires the installation of drivers afterwards for some hardware. Clean installs for computer technicians is an art. Some do over 200 tweaks etc. while others do less. None do the same tweaks. They say each clown has his own look and personality. I could compare that to each computer technician's clean install, a work of art. With high speed Internet to update my SP2 slipstreamed clean installs, the overall process takes about 3 hours.
