David, If you are talking about the saveas type - then NO! in a mixed version situation you have to get all users to save files in the format that all the intended recipients can access it.
That means viewers for the new versions have to be available for all older version users, and the earliest common type has to be selected where multiple users are to edit the files - Usually, that means that the users with XP have to save special versions for transmission to those with 97, or 95 Fun for all.....
