There is probably an installed driver related to that file. In the Device Manager, under the View menu item, select the 'Show hidden devices' option. A 'Non-Plug and Play Drivers' device type should appear. Expand that device type and see if there aren't any left over norton/symantec drivers listed. Uninstall any that may be listed. Their drivers usually start with sym. Check the driver's properties if unsure.
