If "pass-through" means to "not remove" by default, (you have to
actively make that selection yourself), then I agree. I heard that too
from reliable sources.
You have to remember that MS sits on the fence in these areas.
They "can't" allow it to look like they are soft on adware/crapware,
but on the other hand - their entire empire is based on the fact the
the EULA must be protected at all costs... There has to be some
un-intended and/or collateral damage along the way "somewhere"
when you want to have your cake and eat it too... JMHO
