I noticed those settings at 1&1. I have mine locked too...
I also got Private Domain service at no additional charge.
I did not want every Tom, Dick, and Harry looking me
up and getting my home phone number.
I also noticed that E-Rice advises the contact e-mail
address be something OTHER than one in the same Domain...
I thought all three of those were good ideas...
Seems like your friend painted herself into a corner...
Which is a good thing you brought it up... MY contact
e-mail address (from an additional third party host) will likely
be "given up" by the time E-Rice comes to collect again...
UK?, (Retorical) I thought they were in Germany...
Did she try to call the USA 800 number in Chesterbrook PA?
(It might be an 888 number. That is the USA Headquarters.)
