Wow! Thanks, that is a big answer! <grin>...

Here is the botom line...
I made a 22G image file (total) at USB 1.1 to an external USB2 HD.
(The HD was limited to the USB 1.1 interface.)

It took 15 hours or so IIRC after thinking about it more...
I only did normal compression to avoid "extra time"...
The interface was so slow, I doubt that was necessary.
I normally make IDE HD to IDE HD Images inside the same computer,
booting from a bootableCD (of Acronis). They are a LOT faster
than this.

I copied that 22G image file into a computer with a USB 2 MB
from the USB 2 HD it was on... It took 35 minutes.

With the above info, I don't think it is possible to figure how long
it will take to make the next image after I put in my new USB 2
PCI card and do this "next time" USB 2 to USB 2...
(But I'm guessing under an hour...)

I "think" it will always be twice as fast as "all" of that to stick with
the way I had been doing it, IDE HD to IDE HD, but that has
certain physical risks, (including my neck if I drop my wife's HD
and smash it...) ;-)

I just went to check the integrity, and on the Acronis task screen
it says I made it on Dec 31 1969... Ya gotta love this Acronis stuff...
In all fairness, I made this with the ver8 bootCD they gave me and
am checking it with the ver9 un-released newer RTM+ build I have
from them...
