Mixed in, (and clipped a lot)

Force a signature update. I received a .zip file in E-mail that wasn't
detected on Wednesday, and it's being detected now.

I have an Auto update every morning when the computer starts.
I tell it to do it in the middle of the night OR when started, if off.
It then seems to "not find" any updates untill the next day, EVEN
IF there are newer ones available manually. The Norton manual
ones were always newer too, but at a HUGH penalty in size difference.

Every AV program has some "detection latency" from the time bad things start
circulating until a signature update detects them.

Bernie, IIRC, has also said that. (And a few others.)
That is why I never tried to scan it manually or open it...
I think the Virus writters LOVE the type of user that sends a forward
with the actual message down 7 layers, buried in a multi-nested attachment...
(That gets people clicking "mindlessly" too fast...)

Finally, when you get something that's not detected, submit it to
virustotal.com and see if your non-detection is typical or unusual.

Thanks,
I'll have to try that next time. GOOGLE knew the filename and took
me to "some" AV sites that explained it was "bad"... I think it was
REAL new and they only had detected it for a day...
I am "being sent stuff" quicker than in the past. ;-(
