"Newsreader", at least to me, means an NNTP (Usenet) client. Firefox
isn't. The "Live bookmarks" are RSS feeds, which isn't NNTP.
Another free NNTP NewsReader is <http://news-reader.org/> which is
web based & requires no app to be installed.
Jim didn't specify NNTP or RSS but he did say he wanted a better one
than what comes with IE so they would have to be NNTP aka UseNet that
is available via OE [outlook express soon to revert back to MSFT Mail
which it should've stayed that way all along IMNSHO].
Xnews is also a free NNTP reader that is available at
[http://xnews.newsguy.com/]
If one were to Google for them they would find all sorts of them &
it's just a matter of personal preference.
