There are two steps [after you load and start it]: 1) Configure your mail client to talk to it. Basically, what you do is change your 'user' to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and change the POP host to "localhost" and change the POP port to ??? [I forget the details [it's in the POP docs] but for Agent, I think you'll have to edit AGENT.INI to change the POP port. 2) Tune PoPfile. As a help for OE users, you can have POPFile categorize your email -- all of the rest of us do that with in-our-client filtering int folder, and so you can probably get by with just two categories: "spam" and "not_spam". The only other thing you need to do is 'train' popfile [and I have to admit: I used K9 before POPfile [both are Bayesian filters] and POPFile trained up *amaziingly* quickly, so it really isn't onerous]. POPFile puts a clickable-link in the headers, so if it misfiles a message [which it will at the beginning, of course], you just click the link and a 'reclassify this message' will come up in your browser, you tell POPFile the proper classification and you're done. I'm just a lowly math major and I managed, so give it a try: it really is easier than it might sound..:o) /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- To Change your email Address for this list, send the following message: CHANGE WIN-HOME your_old_address your_new_address to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note carefully that both old and new addresses are required.
