I had my two computers hooked together so my laptop "shared" one of the
filesystems on my desktop. At that time, the desktop system was set to
run DHCP and "Internet connection share" its dialup connection, and it
was connected to the LAN via a 10/100 line to the Wireless Router, which
was set to 'router' mode.
The current setup is that the router is set to "Gateway" mode, with the
satellite connection on its "Internet" connection and it is basically
working just fine: both my laptop and my desktop can "wireless" out to
the network.
BUT: my laptop can no longer do anything with the 'shared' stuff [file
system and printer] on the desktop. I can't remember what I did on the
desktop in the first place to get the sharing stuff to work [mostly
nothing, I think...:o)] but whatever it is, something needs to be
tweaked.. ???
