Since the 2003 version of Norton anything I am in the swearing at
camp but I can not say the same for McAfee. I do have to add that
much of McAfee stuff depends greatly on how it's configured such as
none of that screen scanning pos should be used nor should it scan
outgoing email messages. Heck one doesn't have to scan incoming email
at all when used with Eudora since as soon as some idiot tries to run
an infected attachment McAfee's choke a bug dialog comes up & asks
what you would like to do with it. I'm sure that using the old 4.51
version & not updating within the app via the web has something to do
with the fact that I've not paid for updates in years because the
updates have always been available via FTP for free.
