Helen, Does it say on the outside of the box that the product will not install on a multi-disk ? Did you buy the product expecting to be able to use Goback
If there was no warning, and you wanted to use Goback then demand your money back from the retailer - The product is not able to perform the function for which it was purchased, and did not make you aware of the limitations. I.E. it is not fit for purpose, and you were deceived into purchasing it ------------- I run a system with multiple drives, varying partitions and OS's, but I would have installed it to run on the main 'client matching' environment in order to be able to match the user environments and be able to provide reasonable support to them. However, as far as using the product, when using an older version that would install on a system that did not seem to have a problem installing itself on the partition from which I had booted I found that I could not get it to use any other partition than that OS boot partition 'C' for it's data store, and that data store was running at over 20Gb - having installed the full versions of Office 95, 97, 2K (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher etc.) That system, at the time I did the install had 4 Primary partitions, and was capable, via the boot manager of running DOS, Win95, Win98, and 2 instances of Win2K Pro - together with recovery consoles Only thing with Goback was that it could only be installed/run on a single OS in each booting partition. Personally, I suspect you would be better advised to seriously consider not using Symantec System Works, and consider the facility within XP together with some of the software packages that are 'no charge', free, or provided on DVD's shipped with magazines to image your system - e.g. Acronis 7, and Hard Disk Manager.
