Hi Guys,

There are fuses on most mainboard USB ports !! You can check by 
measuring the voltage across the two outermost pins.  It should be +5 
volts.  A simple tester is very easy to make and more reliable than 
just a multimeter.  Definitely cheaper than a USB key !
