No way to do that on this MOBO. Hitting F6 just gives me a screen
asking for a driver disk in A
then it asks for xxxxxtext.oem which I haven't got so mission impossible!
With the Gigabyte Mombo you should've gotten a CD that has a bootdrv
folder & all you have to do is run the run.bat file which gives you
menu of which kind of boot drv floppy that you want to make.
Mine gave me the following menu
1)IAA_RAID
2)GIGARAID
3)SiI
4)SiIRAID
5)SCSI
6)Promise 20276 ATA
7)Promise 20276 RAID
8)Promise 20265 ATA
9)Promise 20265 ATA(XP)
A)Promise 20265 RAID
B)Promise 20265 RAID(XP)
C)VIA 8237 Series ATA
0)exit
and with out this boot drv diskette you should NOT be able to
partition or format anything. I had to run this on another machine
for the floppy creation & once I clicked F6, loaded the driver I had
no problems at all partitioning not only a RAID 0 for a pair of WD
74g Raptors but also enabled the SATA driver for a solo WD 250g then
Winders installed flawlessly
