Thanks. Freecom supplies only a Win98 driver, saying XP has what's necessary. Apparently there is a driver on Panasonic's Japanese website that would enable my external HD to work with Ghost 2003. Just wondering why Smartdisk can configure its drive to work smoothly with Ghost and Freecom, which after all is a major player, can't.
