Try the motherboard manufacturers site for that particular motherboard's drivers, but beware of 'special' models created just for that 'OEM shipper'
If you cannot find the drivers, then another option is to find a cheap sound and video board that will plug in - but make sure you have motherboard config details JimB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rod Lindgren" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2006 8:21 PM Subject: Re: SOFTware: hp Pavilion 4550Z Recovery problem Hello Kylde, Thanks for the response. This is an old Win 98 machine. We have the recovery disks that came with the computer, but the disks do not recognize the computer as an HP Pavilion. If yes, look for an i386 folder (if XP), you may be able to install the OS from there. It may be that the OS has been upgraded so much over time that the CD no longer recognises something, OR the hardware has been upgraded with OEM stuff. But to be honest, that level of PC is dirt-cheap to buy now Rod Lindgren wrote on 29/06/2006, 01:25: > She is thinking about a new computer, but I thought someone on the list > might be able to offer some ideas.
