I don't know quite what to make of it all.  There are two printers here 
at work.  The aforementioned HP6P and there's also an HP Color 4550PS.  I 
printed a bunch of things on the 4550, and just for fun I also tried 
printing out the PNG and it, too, printed as a blank.  Hmm... sounds like 
a problem with the photo printing wizard.  Then I remembered that you can 
view images in IE, so I put "F:\PHOTO.PNG" in the address bar and it did, 
indeed, open in IE... and I hit "print"... and got a blank page [on the 
6MP].  So IE *also* has the blank-page problem, too...  Hmm.. now it 
looks like the drivers again, but *BOTH* of the HP drivers.  [and they're 
very old printers, so I'd be surprised if there was some recent driver-
update for either of them].

Next test: When I get a chance, I'll try loading some OTHER image-
handling-app [I think I have ACDSee kicking around, or I can always try 
IrfanView or the like]...
