Thanks to those who helped, I know have a working session going. The trick for Mandrake 2.2.16 single processor is to delete the existing kernel tree and reinstall from rpm before patching/rebuilding using the redhat 2.2.16 patch file. The problem was some files were not being properly replaced when reinstalling by rpm over the top of the existing files after a patch failure. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get VirtualCD working with win4lin. It comes up with no drive letter on install. Tried playing with various options as per the docs, but no luck. I have a couple of container files that I would like to be able to access without booting a windows machine.
