Hello. I've been testing Win4Lin for a few weeks now, and been very
impressed with how well it works with Windows apps. I'm having a bit of a
graphic display problem though, and I'm wondering if I could gain some
insight on were the problem lies.

When using Win4Lin, if I drag another window over Win4Lin's (win) window,
and then drag that window back, the win window doesn't refresh and therefore
leaves a black area where the other window was dragged over it. If
something new is printed in the win window, that new bit will be displayed
correctly. The way I usually restore the win window is to select the
shutdown option in Windows and then cancel it, as this will refresh the
entire win window and remove any black spots.

I've tried the regular Win4Lin program (I bought it) and the newest beta
(5), and both have exactly the same display problem.

I'm sure everyone is not having this problem, so Win4Lin must be having a
bad interaction with some part of my Linux system. Here's my system specs.

Red Hat 6.2 installation
Latest Linus kernel (2.2.17), self-compiled with patches for Win4Lin, AGP
support
XFree4.01, self-compiled with a small patch to fix DGA mouse problems in Q3
Nvidia's latest drivers, .95 GLX package. Installed via tarballs

Most of the above items are the flaming hoops I need to jump through to get
my video card, a Nvidia Geforce 2, to work well in Linux.

I have a feeling that XFree4.01 or the Nvidia drivers are the problem.
Anyone using these and having good (or the same) results?

My other computer runs Linux.
