Hello Gordon
I would remove the ancient version of NVDA before updating to the latest
release. As for better access there is improved object navigation and
flat review. I suggest you read the user's guide as this will explain
what they do and how to use them and even provide the keystrokes for
both desktop and laptop layouts.
