Hi Chris

I was under the impression that Hotmail is being ditched along with the
unification of Skype, Messenger and Mail into one suite. Personally speaking,
I would never be sad to see the back of Hotmail. Yes, I know, it's a
convenient and quick-fix solution just as the other menace to the Internet
community, GoogleMail, is as well. If I ever live to see the day when
Googlemail is scrapped in favour of a more secure, more authentication-based
system, I would hold up my hands and rejoice! But that's beside the point.
Anyway, my understanding is that Microsoft is ditching Hotmail, although I do
agree with you that Windows Mail is remaining. I clearly wasn't thinking too
clearly when I made that comment, so you have my apologies for that error.

But to be clear, my understanding is that Hotmail, not Windows Mail, is being
scrapped, along with Outlook which will disappear in the soon to be released
Office 2013.

Hello Gordon and all
Just a clarification
Microsoft is scrapping the Windows Live Messenger app, not the Windows Live
Mail app, in place of the Skype app.
