You can't commit directly to the main tree, but you can perfectly have
your own local tree today without the whole world knowing about
it. And maintaining a local tree is precisely something that is
somewhat painful with CVS and that bitkeeper is supposed to be good
at.

You are not forced to reveal your email address. If anybody doesn't
want his email in the log, all he has to do is ask me not to put it
in.

Of course; I'm not complaining, the BitKeeper guys are free to pick
whatever license they like. But as long as they stick to their current
license, I'm going to stick to CVS.
