the issue is just that the makedepend tool hasn't been re-compiled after
the change. the best fix is *before* running make depend, go to tools/
makedepend, do make, and *then* run makedepend on the whole tree
(the correct fix would be to add a dependancy on making makedepend (and
not just timestamping makedepend file) on all the depend: rules)
