I must have missed that before but I am afraid I don't see what it buys us other than saving hassle building the directory structure by hand. I don't think we want to use AppleScript rather than bash directly as Emmanuel suggested. Take for instance starting a new application, we will need something like do shell script "WINEPREIFX=foo path/to/wine bar.exe" Unless you know of some way to set the environment for only the parent and child applications for a given AppleScript.
