Currently the supported infrastructures uses WEP. However, we have
purchased the Bluesocket Wireless Gateway and we are planning to 'dumb
down' the access points when this occurs.

RADIUS currently, but the new infrastructure will be LDAP.

DHCP. The wireless gateway will supply addresses in the 192.168.0.0/16
space and we'll use NAT across the box.

No.

Initially we selected Lucent/Avaya/Agere/Proxim (hahahahahaha), but our
new plan will allow any vendor's access point to work. We're hoping to
'assimilate' the existing access points into the collective by not
requiring access control to the AP itself (as the AS2000 would have
done). Thus everyone who has an AP can use generic settings and move
about the campus. We plan to encourage the use of the VPN component of
the Bluesocket box to secure the connection.

BTW, we also think that this box will be a good mechanism for securing
public wired connections.
