Matt,

We have recently installed a few AP-8s and have set them up in bridge
mode (WDS) to communicate with AP 1000's. While The AP 1000's and AP-8's
are both set to auto negotiate, the units tend to go in and out causing
a fluctuation in the connectivity. By further testing, we found that the
AP 1000s seem to only negotiate on 100-half (although they are set to
auto!!!); by forcing both units to 100-half, we found the problems
disappear and the units negotiate just fine. Other than the negotiation
problem, we have not seen any.

Thanks,

Nas

Subject: [WIRELESS-LAN] anyone try an ap-8 yet?

Hi All

We currently use Avaya's Access Points on our campus, and the latest
product
they've released is the AP-8. I've read the pdf's and heard the
supplier's
details, but just thought I'd ask this group if anyone has used it and
if
so, what are their impressions?

Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
