Has anybody found a way to leverage the built-in clients (L2TP IPSec)in both Windows and Macintosh for use with the Nortel Contivity VPN routers? The big problem- the native clients use client user name and password only, and a pre-share, but the Nortel box works off of Group ID and Password along with client credentials.
Trying to maybe leverage a dummy field in either AD or RADIUS to work for the group ID/password part for Macintoshes, as opposed to spending $$ on the Apani client for our growing Mac user base... (For those who don't know, Nortel does not provide a free IPSec client for Mac/Linux for use with their boxes.) (Yes, I know- PPTP is also an option) Regards- Lee Lee H.
