As mentioned earlier, some Macs don't seem to like mixed-mode encryption.
If you manage your client and you can pre-test, that may be fine, but if
most edus can't dictate what wireless cards and drivers are used.

What is the advantage of two SSIDs?  I have a test environment run running
both protocols with one SSID.  This seems to work but I have only tried it
with two Cisco AP 1200's.

Just a note, this was true up till a few weeks ago.

The synopis of this paper is,  it is now possible to crack WEP with 1
packet, and several seconds.

Most Key Rotation schemes are every 5 minutes, or more.
