Like others, we do not allow wireless printing.

I just thought I would mention that our Aruba wireless system is able to
support Apple's AirPrint protocol for wireless sprinters. Since I do not have a
test device, we have not enabled this feature, though. It is part of Aruba's
AirGroup solution for some of the layer-2 protocols designed for home use. We
have the AirPlay part working now. I know Chromecast support is coming in the
next major OS release.

Aruba's system for personal devices sets up a software-defiled network for the
individual that registered the device. They can share with up to 6 other users.
We can also setup shared access for University-owned devices. We can restrict
by user role and location too.

We just implemented AirGroup this summer so it will be interesting to see how
well it works out.

Subject: Wireless Printing

We are getting a great deal of pressure to provide wireless printing for
students in residence halls. Do you allow wireless printing? How are you doing
it?
