As far as I’m aware, for the 1850 as well as the 2800/3800, auto LAG is only
supported with the following switches: 3850 and 3650 series, 4500 w/ sup-8e and
6500/sup 720.

On the controller side, you must enable ap lag mode e.g. “config ap lag-mode
support enable” and then for the individual AP “config ap lag-mode support
<ap-name> enable” When you enable it for an AP is causes it to reboot.

The 1850 guide has more info on LAG:

That said, unless this AP is in a high-client setting with a lot 11ac clients,
it’s unlikely you’ll push the wired rates above a gig. Additionally, at the
point you think you need two (LAG) to a 3800-series AP, it’s likely more cost
effective to replace the switch with a multigig-capable unit.

show zero

I have a configuration question regarding the 3800 AP series. I am wanting to
use both Ethernet connections on the AP, when I put both switch ports in a port
channel, have the port active, the ap leaves the controller. If I shut switch
port for the APs eth1, the ap joins the controller. We are using Cisco C2960x
running 15.0(2a)EX5. Any thoughts suggestions on the switch config to utilize
the ap’s eth1.

Thanks

Would someone do a sanity check for me.

Prime 3.1.4 (with or without device pack 6) with 2800/3800-series WAPs.

When drilling down into a building, the b/g/n clients are properly reported at
the building view level. If one drills down to the floor view, all 2.4Ghz (XOR)
radios show zero (0) clients. I’m sure it’s was like this in 3.0 and 3.1 too.

I’ve opened a TAC case, and I’ve been told I’m first to report it (no bug
open). If you happen to have Prime and the new 2800/3800’s I’d appreciate a
double-check. Hopefully it’s not unique to me.

Best,
jeff
