Hi,

Thanks to everyone who responded, particularly Amel who said he'd had
issues, although I thought ours already had the flat ribbon cable for the
jumper. Don't have one to hand here.

I wasn't able to make any comments yesterday, but to summarise, we opened
a support case about it that day, as it was going to impact on a
deployment project we were gearing up for, and through discussions with
support yesterday (formally through the call, and informally through our
account team backchannel) we did discover, as has been detailed in Bruce's
fantastic response below, that there are revisions to the bracket. Ours
have DOM 11/23/2016 on the box, which is later than the claim below for
DOM 11/1/2016 apparently being the key date, so beware of that. However,
our slider definitely does not have "Rev 2" stamped on it, we were
explicitly asked to check.

I am going to ask to see if there was an internal or field notice about
this revision, as we ordered these brackets in around April, and if rev 2
was shipping in November they were clearly slushing around the channel but
should have been withdraw or notified against rather than delivered to
customers. This information should at least be in the forum somewhere.

Our enquiry seems to have caused a bit of a tizzy within HPE (UK anyway).
They are going to try and supply us with some Rev 2s, we need maybe 80 for
a project due to start within 2 weeks ...

Jethro.
