i would like to have the same thing, openap on a standard linux box. i just
didn't have the time yet to do it myself. if you have any results please let
me know!

i was also looking into another linux accesspoint which looks promising:
www.sputnik.com it runs off a bootable cdrom and has all the functionality
needed. with a little slim down training it would almost perfect.
